Uganda’s male player of the year 2016 Mohamed Shaban together with his center back Onduparaka FC club-mate Toha Rashid are both already in South Africa for trials.
Shaban and Toha will take on a full week trial session with South African side Supersport United and once all goes well, the duo will depart their home team Onduparaka FC for the South Africa side.
Toha is now the head captain at Onduparaka appointed recently replacing Shaban who is said to have several offers on table from Local clubs like Vipers SC and KCCA but still at Onduparaka FC.
Shaban rose to fame when he scored back to back wining goals for his club to help them debut into Azam Uganda premier league last season 2016/2017 and continued to help the team throughout the season there by never fighting for relegation despite being their first time in the top league. He finished 2nd on score chart with 13 goals 2nd to KCCA FC’s Geoffrey Sserunkuuma who scored 20 goals in the season.
Toha on the other side is well known for commanding Onduparaka’s back with an outstanding tall size that help him head away high ball and has always been standing in as team captain wherever Shaban could not start with the team.
